Starting tomorrow, over 300 Argentine artists and 50 galleries will be displaying their artwork at the Centro Cultural Recoleta. The event, dubbed EGGO as a play on the idea of the artist’s ego, is destined to the commercialization of new Argentine art with prices of exhibited pieces ranging from 300 to 25,000 pesos. An area destined to packaging the works will ensure that buyers can take their purchases with them upon buying.
EGGO 2012 will be open to the general public from Thursday to Sunday from 2pm to 9pm. It will also be a part of the gallery night circuit that will take place on Saturday and will be open for the occasion from 7pm until 3am. Additionally, some of the galleries will be hosting conferences, and other programmed events. More information here. Centro Cultural Recoleta, Junin 1930, Recoleta.
