Navarro Correas Gourmet Experience at HG Restaurant
The prestigious Navarro Correas winery has selected 15 of the best restaurants in Buenos Aires to be protagonists of a unique gourmet experience where fine dining and top quality wine meet. The event, which will promote the winery’s new line Reserva, will last six weeks and will take place in different restaurants around the city.
This Friday, Hernán Gipponi Restaurant will be in charge of offering the special Navarro Correas Gourmet Experience. The 6 step tasting menu will include delicacies such as Basque blood sausage with apple, cider vinegar and roasted peppers; catch of the day with mussels cream, roasted tomato and tofu; Patagonian lamb loin with sweet potatoes, acid beetroot and fennel; and Argentine inspired desserts, amongst others, all paired with Navarro Correas wines.
Additionally, local celebrity DJ Jimena Blizniuk will be musicalizing the evening.

Professional photographer Jocelyn Mandryk (who took Fierro’s latest photographs) and her associate Becky Hayes have taken tourist photography to a whole new level on their Saturday Foto Ruta tours. What they propose is to get to know the city from another point of view, taking their travelers through off the beaten path locations and setting creative guidelines for the photographs so that they can explore the local colors and characters through the lens from a new perspective. Barman Fede Cuco at Fierro Hotel
Local celebrity bartender Fede Cuco has embarked on a special adventure. Known as the Cantinero Viajero (Travelling Bartender), he has taken upon paying visits to different bars around the city with a suitcase full of elixirs. This weekend he will be traveling to Fierro Hotel’s Hernán Gipponi Restaurant where he will prepare some of his unique recipes.

Buenos Aires Polo Circo 2012

Although recent in the city, the annual international circus festival has rapidly expanded over the years. This year it will take place from the 3rd to the 14th of May and will be hosting dazzling circus acts from around the world at the traditional Polo Circo venue, as well as the newly added Espacio Cultural Julián Centeya, Espacio Cultural Carlos Gardel, Espacio Cultural Adán Buenos Aires, Centro Cultural San Martín and the Centro Municipal de Exposiciones.
The program features shows by circuses from France, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, Brazil, Chile and of course Argentina. At the Polo Circo venue there will also be free shows by independent acts one hour before the official performances begin. Additionally there will be a Bar del Circo from 10pm onwards with live bands, drinks and DJ´s.
