This Week in Buenos Aires


The Bienal de Imagen en Movimiento (Audivisual Bienial) kicks off until the 4th of November featuring a variety of experimental works by local and international artists at the Centro Cultural San Martin and the Allianza Francesa. Find the full program here.

In the evening, if the rain has eased up, head to the Planetarium for the full moon drum  and percussion event that will take place from 10pm onwards.  Participants are welcome to bring their own instruments.

If it’s still too rainy for an outdoor program head to Notorious where there will be a live show in homage of Ramiro Musotto from Orchesta Sudaka starting at 9.30pm. Av. Callao 966, Recoleta.

Dont miss the  Caravaggio exhibit taking place at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Fine Arts Museum) until the 15th of December. Av. Libertador 1473, Recoleta.

The Buenos Aires Photo 2012 exhibit is being held at the Centro Cultural Recoleta. Stop by from 2pm onwards and catch a glimpse of what’s going on in front of the city lens. Junín 1930, Recoleta.

Later on in the evening show off your best gaucho or Recoleta ghost costume at Magdalena’s Party special halloween bash which will take place from middnight onwards. Thames 1795, Palermo.

On Saturday, starting at 3pm, Picnic BA will be taking place around five different city parks. The event will feature live music, art, performances and more. The closest park to the hotel where the event is taking place is Plaza Las Heras on Av. Las Heras and Coronel Diaz.
