The MALBA is inaugurating a new exhibit this week, featuring works by renowned British artist Tracey Emin. The exhibition, called How It Feels, will feature five videos produced between 1995 and 2000.
The contemporary artist, who emerged as part of the group YBA (Young British Artists) is well known for her provocative and highly emotive and intimate work such as the installations Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963–1995 and My Bed. The videos that will be showcased play upon some of the common themes of the artist’s works including gender issues, sexuality, abortion and social class.
The exhibit will be on display from the 16th of November to the 25th of February. Museum opening hours are from midday to 8pm, except for Tuesdays when it is closed. Tickets are 30 pesos. Avenida Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Recoleta. 4808-6500.
