The Buenos Aires Alta Moda (BAAM) Fashion Week kicks off at the Sheraton showing all the haute-couture collections for Autumn-Winter 2013.  Runway shows by different designers are programmed at 6pm, 8pm, and 9.30pm until the 18th of March. 4773 6233

At 9pm Interpol’s lead guitarist Paul Banks will be staging a live show at La Trastienda. Tickets here.

Summer is the time for outdoor sightseeing and there are some great tours by air and water that make for perfect alternatives to get to know the city in a fun and novel way.

Later on head to  La Catedral in Almagro and take a tango lesson at either 7.30 pm or 9pm. Sarmiento 4006, Almagro.

Head to the Dorrego Flea Market in Palermo, which is often overlooked and is the perfect place to go on a treasure hunt.  Antiques and curious finds are waiting to be dug up and claimed in this charming neighborhood market. Open Tue-Sun 10am-7pm.  Av.Dorrego and Conde.

CiuDanza kicks off at Parque Las Heras, Plaza San Martín and Parque Patricios where dance will magically merge with urban spaces until the 17th of March. Find the full program here.

The stunning Muse National de Arte Decorative (MNAD) is inaugurating a new exhibit by photographer Lucia Busch.
