The traditional annual BA agricultural event –Exposición Rural- is taking place until the 30th of July at La Rural in Palermo. Av. Sarmiento 2704, Palermo.

The Colón Theatre is staging a midday ballet production of Alice in Wonderland. Tickets here.

Later on stop by La Catedral in Almagro where you can take a tango lesson staring at 7.30 pm or 9pm. Sarmiento 4006, Almagro.

Wednesday

The BAFICI animado film festival kicks off until the 28th of July and will be displaying the best animated films of the year. More information here.

In the evening, the Colón Theatre is staging an opera production of Othello. Tickets here.

Thursday

The Palais de Glace in Recoleta is showcasing the annual exhibit of photojournalism, and is a great stop after touring the famous cemetery. Posadas 1795, Recoleta.

In the evening, you can catch the stunning Fuerza Bruta show being staged at the Centro Cultural Recoleta at 6.30pm. Tickets here.

Friday

Visit the government’s cultural headquarter (Casa de la Cultura) and tour the stunning 19th century French style building which originally belonged to “La Prensa” newspaper.  This historical site also displays different exhibits and holds concerts in its famous golden room. Av. Rivadavia 576, Downtown.
