Don’t miss the stunning Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the MALBA that is taking place until September. There is also a showcase of Argentine artist Kenneth Kemble’s works.  Avenida Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Recoleta.

Thursday

Take a free tour of Buenos Aires with Jonathan, an Englishman in love with the city. Tours start every day at 11am at the center of Plaza Italia by the Garibaldi Horse monument and cover the areas of Almagro, Congress and the Plaza de Mayo using local transport to get around. In the evening, starting at 8.30pm the Colón Theatre will be staging a concert featuring a selection of music composed by Giuseppe Verdi. Tickets here.

Friday

Take one of graffitimundo’s tours that kick off at 3pm in Colegiales and learn more about the booming local street art scene. More information here.

Fundación PROA is inaugurating a new exhibit this weekend that features images of Buenos Aires as seen through different artists.  Av. Pedro de Mendoza 1929, La Boca.  

The Japanese Gardens in Palermo will be holing a demonstration of the Japanese Bontemae tea ceremony as well as a Manga display. Av. Figueroa Alcorta and Av. Casares. Palermo.
