The Encuentro Latinoamericano de Teatro Independiente (Latin American Independent Theatre Festival) kicks off with a varied program of seminars, activities, and plays performed by artists from all over the South American continent. More information here.

In the evening at 8.30pm, the Colón Theatre is staging a ballet production of Don Quixote.  Tickets here.

Wednesday

Fundación PROA is showcasing a new exhibit that features images of Buenos Aires as seen through different artists eyes.  Av. Pedro de Mendoza 1929, La Boca.

In the evening, catch Orquesta Típica Fernandez Fierro in the Abasto neighborhood and find out what contemporary tango is all about. Sánchez de Bustamante 764, Abasto.

At 8.30pm, the Colón Theatre is staging a ballet production of Don Quixote.  Tickets here.

Thursday

Take a free tour of Buenos Aires with Jonathan, an Englishman in love with the city. Tours start every day at 11am at the center of Plaza Italia by the Garibaldi monument and cover the areas of Almagro, Congress and Plaza de Mayo using local transport to get around. More information here.

Later on, head to the Centro Cultural Recoleta where Fuerza Bruta is staging their latest production, Wayra, at 8.30pm. Tickets here.

Friday

On Friday, the EGGO art fair kicks off, showcasing the collections of the city’s best art galleries. More information here.

Saturday and Sunday
