Tuesday

Take a free tour of Buenos Aires with Jonathan, an Englishman in love with the city. Tours start every day at 11am at the center of Plaza Italia by the Garibaldi monument and cover the areas of Almagro, Congress and Plaza de Mayo using local transport to get around. More information here.

Later on, stop by La Catedral in Almagro where you can take a tango lesson staring at 7.30 pm or 9pm. Sarmiento 4006, Almagro.

Browse for books and read over coffee at the stunning Atenéo Grand Splendid. The impressive bookstore is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Av. Santa Fe 1860. 4813 6052

The Colón Theatre will be screening a special function of Metropolis with live orchestra music 8.30pm. Tickets here.

Thursday

Check out the new exhibit at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes featuring the work of famous cartoonist and illustrator Oscar Conti (Oski). Av. del Libertador 1473, Recoleta.

The Colón Theatre will be featuring the performance of Expressive Depths- a compilation of cello compositions by Khachaturian and Brahms. Tickets here.

Friday
