New Year’s Week in Buenos Aires

Another long weekend awaits with the New Year celebrations coming up! Thursday and Friday are national holidays so expect an empty city with many closed shops, attractions and venues. Also, make sure to plan your transport for the 31st!

The Casa Nacional del Bicentenario is showcasing a new exhibit that explores the theme of love from different cultural perspectives. Riobamba 985, Downtown.

The MALBA will be open from midday to 6pm and is featuring a great exhibit of artist Antonio Berni´s work. Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Palermo.

Afterwards, make sure to have reservations at Fierro’s new restaurant Uco for a delicious New Year’s dinner, or, book your place to take a unique tour of the stunning Palacio Barolo and toast to 2015 at the building’s lighthouse which is also a great spot to enjoy the fireworks.

Some of the top New Year parties that will be taking place include Fiesta Piso Compartido at Niceto Club, and the Pachá New Year party featuring Stefano Noferini.

Thursday

Take a lazy day to walk around Puerto Madero or the 3 de Febrero parks in Palermo.

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA) is showcasing a new photography exhibit on the topic of Latin America. The museum is also featuring a collection of erotic art, and an exhibit dedicated to El Greco. Av. Del Libertador 1473, Recoleta. 

Verne Club is one of our favorite cocktail bars in the city and is a great place to stop by for drinks and gourmet hot dogs! Av. Medrano 1475, Palermo.

Christmas Week in Buenos Aires 2014

Christmas week kicks off on Wednesday the 24th which is a bank holiday, and then the 25th and 26th are both national holidays which means many of the cities attractions will be closed.
