The MALBA is showing a new exhibit featuring famous Argentine artist Antonio Berni’s work. Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Palermo.

Later on, stop by Centro Cultural Konex where the famous percussion group, La Bomba del Tiempo, will be carrying out their Monday show starting at 7pm. Sarmiento 3151, Almagro.

Chinese artist Cai Guo-Quiang is showcasing his first exhibit in Argentina at Fundación PROA. His work includes installations and portraits and landscapes (in this case of the Misiones and Salta provinces) made with gunpowder. Av. Pedro de Mendoza 1929, La Boca.

In the evening, the Colón Theatre inaugurates its ballet production of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker with functions on the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 23rd, 26th and 27th of December. Tickets here.

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA) kicks off a new photography exhibit on the topic of Latin America. The museum is also showcasing a collection of erotic art, and an exhibit dedicated to El Greco. Av. Del Libertador 1473, Recoleta.

The Isaac Fernandez Blanco museum in the Retiro neighborhood is showcasing a collection of antique dolls and toys. Hipólito Yrigoyen 1420, Downtown.

Explore the 3 de Febrero parks in Palermo and later, at 5pm, catch the tango show at the Planetarium. Av. Sarmiento and Belisario Roldán, Palermo. 

Starting at 9pm, a Piazzolla tribute led by Escalandrum, the band Piazzolla’s grandson plays in, will take place at Boris Club de Jazz . Gorriti 5568, Palermo.
