Buenos Aires Fashion Week kicks off until the 14th of August, so put on your most stylish raincoat and head over to La Rural in Palermo to check out the latest fashion collections for the upcoming Spring/Summer season in Argentina. More information here.

In the evening, immerse yourself in complete silence and listen to U2 on a holophonic sound system at the Centro Argentino de Teatro Ciego. Tickets here.

The National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) is showcasing an exhibit of Nordic art, and a collection of indigenous art from Paraguay. Stop by if you’re in the Recoleta area and warm up over coffee afterwards at the famous La Biela cafe. Av. Del Libertador 14730, Recoleta.

Wednesday

Guided tours at 3pm of  Manzana de las Luces, an old Jesuit residence from the 1700’s in the San Telmo area are well worth the experience! Peru 272, San Cristobal.

Later on, stop by the Centro Cultural Recoleta and catch one of the stunning Fuerza Bruta shows. Tickets here. 

Thursday

The Centro Cultural Kirchner is showcasing an exhibit of controversial French photographer Sophie Calle’s work, featuring interpretations by different women of a break-up letter that the artist recieved. Sarmiento 151, downtown.

In the evening, don’t miss the Buenos Aires Philharmonic and Sergio Tiempo at the Colón Theatre that will be presenting pieces by Sibelius, Rachmaninov and Nielsen. Tickets here.

Friday

Lose yourself to dance at The Tango Festival and World Championship that will be taking place until the 27th of August. Find the full program here.

From 9pm onwards you can stop by Isabel Bar in Palermo, one of the hottest nightspots for cocktails in the city. Uriarte 1664, Palermo. 
Saturday and Sunday

Book your place at UCO´s unique weekend brunch, now revamped with an Irish version as well! 3220-6800Soler 5862, Palermo.

The Tango Festival and World Championship will be taking place throughout the weekend until the 27th of August. Find the full program here.

On Saturday and Sunday you can also head to the Palermo Racetracks where the monthly Buenos Aires Market event will be taking place, offering great produce and food in a colorful outdoor setting! Avenida Libertador and Dorrego.

You can also stop by the Palermo Rosedal where you can rent paddle boats to cruise the small lake alongside the ducks, and visit the Sivori Museum, which offers free tours in English and German on Saturdays at 3pm and 5pm! Av. Infanta Isabel 555, Palermo.

On Sunday night, Mandarine Park nightclub will be hosting a big party with international DJ’s as Monday the 17th is a national holiday. Tickets are available here.
