Today is a national holiday as the country celebrates the anniversary of the death of José de San Martín.

Later on, at 9pm, Buenos Aires Cóctel week kicks off at Verne, one of our favorite bars in the city. The event promises for a week imbued with boozy fun! Find the whole program here.

The National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) is showcasing an exhibit of Nordic art, and a collection of indigenous art from Paraguay. Stop by if you’re in the Recoleta area and warm up over coffee afterwards at the famous La Biela cafe. Av. Del Libertador 14730, Recoleta.

Later on, stop by the Centro Cultural Recoleta and catch one of the stunning Fuerza Bruta shows. Tickets here.

The Centro Cultural Kirchner is showcasing an exhibit of controversial French photographer Sophie Calle’s work, featuring interpretations by different women of a break-up letter that the artist received. Sarmiento 151, downtown.
