The 30th edition of the Casa FOA design event is taking place until the 30th of November at a specially remodeled 40’s style house in the Retiro area that is well worth visiting, especially for architecture and design enthusiasts. Basavilbaso 1233, downtown. 

In the afternoon, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, you can stop by the Fierro Hotel garden and grab a couple of cocktails at the new UCO after office event! 3220-6800. Soler 5862, Palermo.

You can also head to the Centro Cultural Konex where famous percussion group, La Bomba del Tiempo, will be carrying out their Monday show starting at 7pm. Sarmiento 3151, Almagro.

The week kicks off with a national holiday. Highlighted events this week include Paloma Herrera’s farewell performances at the Colón Theatre, Marta Minujin’s La Menesunda at the MAMBA museum in San Telmo, the Gallery Days event that will take place on Saturday in the Palermo and Villa Crespo areas, and Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Joan Miró at Usina del Arte

A new retrospective of Catalan artist Joan Miró has recently been inaugurated at La Usina del Arte in La Boca, and will be taking place until the 20th of December. The exhibition, which commemorates the 120th anniversary of the artist’s birth, showcases 56 original pieces including xylographs, lithographs and illustrations, amongst others.  There are also seminars and talks about twentieth century art that are taking place as part of the event.

The exhibit is open from Tuesday to Friday from midday to 6pm and on weekends from 11am to 8pm. Tickets are 20 pesos. Agustín Caffarena 1, and Pedro de Mendoza, La Boca.
