BUENOS AIRES FASHION WEEK will be taking place from the 1st to the 9th of March and showing all the new fall-winter 2018 trends!

BAF WEEK se lleva a cabo la primera semana de marzo, del 1 al 9, con todas las tendencias que se vienen esta temporada de otoño-invierno 2018!

The COLÓN THEATRE kicks off with its 2018 program of operas, orchestras, experimental acts and ballet. Book tickets to any of the theatre’s shows here.

The LOLLAPALOOZA FESTIVAL will be taking place from the 16th to the 18th of March with a line up that includes Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana del Rey, amongst others. Find all of the upcoming rock concerts here.

Until April, the MNBA fine arts museum is spotlighting women artists in a special exhibit dedicated to them and also renowned sculptor Auguste Rodin.

Hasta Abril, el MNBA pone a las artistas mujeres en foco con una muestra especial dedicada a ellas, y también continúa con la exposición del reconocido escultor, Auguste Rodin. 

FUNDACIÓN PROA is showcasing a special exhibit of Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei’s work until April.

FUNDACIÓN PROA tiene exhibición una muestra especial que finaliza en abril de la obra del artista chino Ai Wei Wei.

Monday

UCO

If you’re visiting the Obelisco and strolling down Corrientes Avenue, stop by the Centro Cultural de la Cooperación which is hosting a photography exhibit about the social problematic related to last World Cup in Brazil. Av. Corrientes 1543, downtown.

In the afternoon, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm you can stop by the Fierro Hotel garden and grab a couple of cocktails at the new UCO after office event! Soler 5862, Palermo.

You can also stop by Centro Cultural Konex where famous percussion group, La Bomba del Tiempo, will be carrying out their Monday show starting at 7pm. Sarmiento 3151, Almagro.

If you’re in the Recoleta area, stop by the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes which is hosting a new exhibit featuring collages by Eduardo Stupía, texts by Ricardo Piglia and music by Luis Nacht until the 22nd of March. Av. Del Libertador 1473, Recoleta.

Although celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is an Irish tradition, it has gained popularity in Buenos Aires as well and there will be plenty of pubs and bars to share beers, find luck in four leaf clovers and twirl with leprechauns. A full list of activities is available here.

Wednesday

Take one of FotoRuta’s Street Scape tours and learn some photography tips while discovering the city from a different angle. More information here.

In the evening, stop by the stunning Colón Theatre and catch the new ballet production being staged which features three chorography’s to music by Rachmaninov, Bartok and Mozart. Tickets here. 

Thursday

One of the city’s architectural landmarks is the famous Palacio Barolo, full of references to poet Dante Alighieri. Guided tours take place from 4pm to 7pm and evening guided tours at 8.30pm include tasting of an awarded wine and a national delicacy. Av. de Mayo 1370, downtown.

Later on, Manu Chao will be staging a live show at Estadio Ferro. Tickets here.

Friday

Check out the new MALBA exhibition that will take place until the 8th of June featuring live installations, choreographies and more under the name “Infinite Experience”! Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Palermo.

Afterwards, head to La Trastienda in San Telmo where the Mike Stern Band will be jazzing it up! Tickets here.
