The Buenos Aires Polo Circo Festival, featuring circus and trapeze acts from around the World and other related activities, is taking place until the 17th of May. Find the full program here.

At 7pm, head to La Trastienda for their Brazilian Wednesday event, Miércoles Carinhosos, and dance all the way past midnight. Balcarce 460, San Telmo.


Check out the new Mona Hatoum exhibit being held at Fundación PROA until the 14th of June.

25th of April- 13th of May- International Book Fair. Buenos Aires is a literary city and the annual book fair is a great place for browsing, shopping and seminars. The fair’s theme this year is books as bridges and there will be a special focus on Dutch literature. More information here.

9th of May- Gallery Nights. The monthly art event will be taking place at the hippest Palermo, Recoleta and Retiro art galleries. More information here.

9-19th of May- Festival Polo Circo. Although recent in the city, the annual international circus festival has rapidly expanded over the years and hosts dazzling circus acts from around the world! More information here.

11-12th of May- Buenos Aires Market. Over 60 stands promoting healthy lifestyle and organic products will be at the intersection of Sarmiento and Libertador Avenue.  If it rains the market will take place on the following weekend.

21-26th of May- Feria Puro Diseño. The best of contemporary Argentine design will be on display at La Rural.  More information here

24-27th of May- Arte BA. The local artistic community will be abuzz in May as the most important contemporary art fair of the year takes place at La Rural. More information here.
