Today is a national holiday as the country celebrates the anniversary of the death of José de San Martín.

Later on, at 9pm, Buenos Aires Cóctel week kicks off at Verne, one of our favorite bars in the city. The event promises for a week imbued with boozy fun! Find the whole program here.

The National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) is showcasing an exhibit of Nordic art, and a collection of indigenous art from Paraguay. Stop by if you’re in the Recoleta area and warm up over coffee afterwards at the famous La Biela cafe. Av. Del Libertador 14730, Recoleta.

Later on, stop by the Centro Cultural Recoleta and catch one of the stunning Fuerza Bruta shows. Tickets here.

The Centro Cultural Kirchner is showcasing an exhibit of controversial French photographer Sophie Calle’s work, featuring interpretations by different women of a break-up letter that the artist received. Sarmiento 151, downtown.

The MALBA  will be in full swing as renowned French photographer Sophie Calle will be giving a presentation at 7pm after a screening at 5.30pm of her film “Double Blind/No Sex Last Night”. The presentation is part of the BP.15 Biennial program and tickets will be handed out on a first come first serve basis from 4.30pm onwards. You can also check out the museum’s latest exhibition that is taking place until the 8th of June under the name “Infinite Experience”!  Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Palermo.

In the evening, stop by Centro Cultural Konex where famous percussion group, La Bomba del Tiempo, will be carrying out their Monday show starting at 7pm. Sarmiento 3151, Almagro.

Tuesday

Volatil felicidad (Fleeting Happiness) is the new photography exhibit taking place at Parque de la Memoria, which gathers a collection of images from Argentina in the nineties. Rafael Obligado 6745, Costanera.

At 7pm, international reggae artist Alpha Blondie will be staging a live show at Groove in Palermo, a perfect summery plan for this unexpectedly warm Autumn. Tickets here.

Thursday

One of the city’s architectural landmarks is the famous Palacio Barolo, full of references to poet Dante Alighieri. Guided tours take place from 4pm to 7pm and evening guided tours at 8.30pm include tasting of an awarded wine and a national delicacy. Av. de Mayo 1370, downtown.

At 9pm Paloma del Cerro will be presenting her new album “Para bien” at Niceto Club. Tickets here.

The annual design fair, Feria Puro Diseño, will be celebrating its 15th edition at La Rural in Palermo until the 25th of May. More information here.
